The
EuropeanIssuers Advisory Council brings together around 50 senior executives (Chief Executives, Board Members etc.) of major multinational companies in Europe in a wide range of industrial sectors. The Advisory Council meets twice a year with high-level policymakers. The Advisory Council is composed by representatives from companies across Europe such as; DHL, Solvay, L'Oréal, Michelin, Engie, BNP Fortis Paribas, TotalEnergies, Novartis, ENI, Generali,Ericsson, Philips, Shell and many more. The participation is on invitation only.
The Advisory Council exists since 2018. This networking platform aims to provide the European Business leaders the opportunity to discuss the most compelling topics of the European agenda in the field of financial markets with relevant business implications, through a direct dialogue and a privileged interaction with European institutions' top officials and thought leaders. The Advisory Council serves the purpose of strengthening the dialogue between business and politics whilst improving the quality of EC policy proposals following the debates.
The Advisory Council previously welcomed prestigious guests such as Mr
Valdis Dombrovskis Executive Vice President of the European Commission for an Economy that Works for People and European Commissionner of Trade, on 16 June 2020. The Advisory Council also met
Didier Reynders, Commissioner for Justice, on 29 October 2020 and
Mairead McGuinness, Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, on 20 April 2021. On 19 April 2022, the Advisory Council welcomed
Erkki Liikanen, chair of the IFRS Foundation Trustee and former European Commissionner. In 2023, EuropeanIssuers was pleased to welcome once again Commissioner Mairead McGuinness on 25 April, and Didier Reynders on 09 October to discuss the latest regulatory developments and reiterate some messages that are of utmost importance for issuers across Europe. On 20 December, in collaboration with Assonime General Counsel, the Advisory Council had the opportunity to meet with
Enrico Letta, Rapporteur for the High-Level Report on the Future of the Single Market.
